A Card for every Season

There are so many occasions where a card is an appropriate offering!

New home, new baby, new job or newly married. Engaged, eloped and having a party! Birthday you say? Or Christmas!
On October 5^th make a card and send a card. What a fun way to celebrate International Card Day! Not only will you enjoy some crafty time but you will be sure to make someone’s day brighter!

This month’s theme is Thanksgiving or Halloween! It highlights rich fall colors of pumpkin pie, real red, crushed curry with gold foil! Presented on espresso and pumpkin pie cardstock! This card illuminates how grateful I am to have found Stampin’ UP! and to share my passion of card making with you!

When I first joined Stampin’ UP! I moved to a brand new community and wanted to make some new friends. The most obvious place was right in my own neighbourhood. Once I met some crafty ladies who shared my same passion of scrapbooking  and next thing you know I was going to regular club nights!  Soon armed with a huge wish list and a renovated craft room I began to organise my own club nights! A common way to bring new friends is to keep sharing the experiences! Now I have 3 clubs of my own but I first started going to Stampin’ UP! events I was attending as a guest. Armed with stamp-a-stacks and the club nights and the love of meeting new crafty people now that I have my own team, a family if you will! A group of women on my team who have named themselves the Flamingos! The WestCoast Flamingo Family!

When the Flamingos plan a flock party, we each prepare a card and show each other how to make them! Have a look at the cards we made below and let me know if any of them inspire you…… In some of the cards we said goodbye to old stock and hello to the new catalogue!

Spring is natures way of saying ‘Let’s Party.”

Recently my 4 year old neighbour, (technically still 3 for one more month!) wanted to have a girls card party in my craft room! This is something she has observed and has inquired about. She has an uncanny ability to remember everything you talk about! When I asked who she wanted to invite, she responded, without hesitation, my brother!

Of course, a party with friends and family takes on a whole new meaning if there is food or activity in a special location. So if you were on your way to my house to a party in my craft room, where there might be treats and definitely having an activity …. there you have it…. a party!

May has always been a favorite time to celebrate in my craft room. Why? Because there is a whole bunch of new products to play with! The new catalogue was announced at the OnStage event in April….all demonstrators across the world have an opportunity to order those products and play for an entire month before anyone else! That is one good reason to join my team and join the party! And there are also new in colours to play with!!! 

Stamps, ink in new color is a serious party to me! The joy I get while stamping and creating is amazing! It is the perfect way to unwind from work or spend and afternoon with friends!
