Crafty Community; a group of like minded people who like to get together and craft!

Thank goodness for the internet and technology! I am so thankful to have such fabulously crafty people all around me. No matter what your craft, if it brings you joy, then this is our way to connect.

In the past month i have heard the words stay connected, lets chat, facebook coffee, zoom happy hour and how about a facebook live? All of these wonderful ways to keep me connected to my crafty community i am fore er grateful or it would have been a much longer and upsetting month (6 weeks but who is counting?) in covid isolation!

Barb and i have spent time on the weekends getting our families connected, making food, delivering flowers, hosting kids virtual card parties and so much more!

Here are some highlights:

…for Snowmen and Candy Cane…. lanes

Nothing like a warm cup of tea, candy cane lane is my fav, with a treat or two in front of a fire after building a snowman! Here on Vancouver Island we rarely get an opportunity to build snowmen which is why heading to snowy wonderland at Christmas is fantastic!

Almost 10 years ago I went to my first Stampin’ UP! workshop and we made a 3D mint box! I tried to recreate that box in my own way without the proper measurements, had no idea how to make a box! Look how far I have come! I am so grateful for all those crafty ladies out there in cyberland! Without whom I would never have finally figured out how to make a box or copy an instruction template. Now thanks to Stampin’ UP! we can buy all kinds of 3D projects in the catalogue! From pizza boxes to curvy boxes, framelits to make pillow boxes and new backpacks (spoiler alert)!

This month I was off to the Stampin’ UP! Onstage event in Edmonton, Alberta and we always take our roomies a little pillow gift! My pillow gift to the ladies this year was a little candy dispenser box and some yummy mint chocolate m&m’s ….I have to admit I did not invent this and received a box like this years ago from a crafty friend of mine and it still lives at my office and distributes candy every year!

The 2019 Stampin’ UP!  holiday catalogue does not disappoint! On every page there is something for everyone’s taste….. As the cool, crisp October mornings and evenings are shorter, not to mention darker, I am attracted to my craft room to create my Christmas holiday cards! Feels like Frost & Playful Penguins

With family in Whistler, we have spent many a cold, snowy, evening outside walking with the dogs.

This is my inspiration for the products I chose for this months blog. The playful penguins remind me of these evenings (yes even though I am on the west coast)!

The Playful Penguins stamp set and the Feels Like Frost designer series paper pair perfectly and have made me happy creating some fabulous fun Christmas Cards! This card is 6″x 6″ to accommodate most of the beautiful graphics in the designer series paper!

‘The Greatest Part of Christmas’ hostess stamp set is used for the large greeting on the front of the card and the sentiment in the middle. This set offers great value and if you want to know how to take advantage of some hostess stamp sets just let me know.
